I’m Charles (CJ) Boettcher and I serve as pastor at Cross of Christ in Welch, MN, and Cannon River in Cannon Falls, MN. I am originally from Appleton, Wisconsin, and hold a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in Water Resources and a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary. I have served congregations previously in Upsala and Cloquet, MN. As a pastor, I am passionate about embracing the tough questions and exploring faith that takes struggle seriously. An active life of faith should not require us to turn off our brains or not be honest about our doubts. I believe profoundly in the grace and love of God for all people and in honoring the diversity in which we are created. The image of God stamped upon us is not one size fits all! I have two beautiful children, Emma and Henry. I am a lover of many things outdoors especially hiking and fishing.
